West Coal Routes PLC
|
Project to controls the movement of coal at Corus’ Scunthorpe plant and shall form an integrated part of the whole Coke Ovens control scheme developed and managed by Inspec Solutions at Scunthorpe. |
| Corus Scunthorpe – Ladle Arc Furnace 1 - 3. |
Inspec in conjunction with a partner company have designed, implemented and supplied a control system to control the regulation system for three 200 tonne ladle arc furnaces. The system is based upon Rockwell contrologix processors and utilises RSView as the HMI to the system. |

Project supplying control system and MCC’s to automate Coal Injection systems for Blast Furnace. The systems supplied by Inspec cover two 11m MCC boards for controlling the whole process, in addition there are 22 off SLC PLC’s & 2 off Controllogix PLC’s undertaking the automation of the whole plant. RSView SCADA is utilised as the graphical package for system monitoring and operation. |

| Corus Scunthorpe – Wireless network provision for Coke Ovens control systems |
Project which added on from a previous Inspec project automating the Coke making process at Appleby Coke Ovens. The project provided a site wide radio Ethernet network allowing disparate PLC and SCADA systems to be connected together, including moving furnace charger and stacker machines and controlled centrally from the main plant Intouch system. |

Project to replace existing Ferranti Control Systems with Dual Redundant Rockwell Controllogix PLC’s. In addition Inspec Solutions are to supply 2 new PLC systems, 23 New Eurotherm controllers for the plant, all to be integrated along with all existing plant PLC’s, into the new overall SCADA system with 30 view nodes across the plant. |

Project to replace existing Ferranti Control System with Dual Redundant MTL DCS system. In addition Inspec Solutions are to supply 3 new PLC systems, 10 New Eurotherm controllers for the plant, all to be integrated along with all existing plant PLC’s, into the new overall SCADA system with 14 view nodes across the plant. |

Inspec Solutions were responsible for the design, specification, and implementation, supervision of installation and commissioning of all E&IC aspects of the new plant. The control system was based on Controllogix PLC’s and RS View SCADA. |
