Dec 09 - More LAF Injection Projects Won

Inspec win a second project to provide control & automation scheme for Corus’ Scunthorpe Plant for the remaining LAF systems (1&2) for special additions injection system for each of the Furnaces.

The new control system will control the whole injection scheme from batching the products ready for injection depending upon metalurgy requirements, to integrating the additions into the furnace operation and the actual control of the operation to deep inject the products into the liquid steel. All the additions will be logged in the existing SQL database for evidence of the actual addition profile of each ladle of steel.
