Inspec win project to provide control & automation scheme for Ladle Arc Furnace no 3 at Corus' Scunthorpe Plant for the control system for a special additions injection system.

The new control system will control the whole injection scheme from batching the products ready for injection depending upon metalurgy requirements, to integrating the additions into the furnace operation and the actual control of the operation to deep inject the products into the liquid steel. All the additions will be logged in the existing SQL database for evidence of the actual addition profile of each ladle of steel.
